The 2026 Independence Day Parade theme, “250 Years of Freedom - 150 Years of Colorado Spirit,” celebrates two incredible milestones: America’s 250th anniversary and Colorado’s 150th anniversary. This year’s theme honors the generations of pioneers, patriots, adventurers, dreamers, and communities that helped shape both our nation and our state.
From the founding of our country in 1776 to Colorado’s rich history of mining, ranching, resilience, and mountain heritage, this celebration reflects the spirit of freedom, independence, and pride that continues to define us today. Participants are encouraged to showcase patriotic colors, historical influences, western heritage, Colorado pride, and creative interpretations of what freedom and community mean to them.
Join us as we celebrate the past, honor the present, and look ahead to the future with a true Colorado spirit.
Registration Information
- Registration Fee: $5 per entry
- Registration Deadline: July 1
- Advance registration is required for all participants.
- All entries must be registered and approved prior to parade day.
- Participants who are not on the official registration list may be denied entry into the parade lineup.
